Thunderbolt 3
Use Thunderbolt 3 with displays and other devices that connect using either a Thunderbolt 3 cable or USB-C cable. You can also connect a USB-C power adapter and cable to charge your notebook computer. If you have a device that doesn't connect to this port, you might be able to use an adapter to connect it.

USB-C

MacBook models introduced in 2015 or later have a single USB-C port. This port doesn't support Thunderbolt devices.
If your Mac has only one port like this, it's a MacBook that supports USB-C but not Thunderbolt.

Use Mini DisplayPort with displays that connect using a Mini DisplayPort cable.

USB-A
Use USB-A with devices that connect using a USB cable. USB ports are sometimes known by the USB specification of the port, such as USB 2 or USB 3.

Power

Once opened type the command ' ping ipaddress ', and replace the ipaddress with one from the list above. You will then see a list of numbers appearing. The most important bit is where it says time= as this is your ping in ms. A high number (over 100) is not good for LoL and is best to not play altogether. Lol ping command for mac. Plug in only the essential devices
If you're using an external keyboard and trackpad or mouse, turn them on or plug them into your Mac. If you're using an external display, plug it in and turn it on as well, but don't connect any other peripherals yet. And of course plug in your Mac.

A series of windows will ask you for setup details, such as your Apple ID. If you've used iTunes or have an iPhone or iPad, you already have an Apple ID. Use the same Apple ID on your Mac.
We recommend that you let the setup assistant turn on FileVault, iCloud Keychain, and Find My Mac. You can also let it transfer information from another computer or Time Machine backup, or you can do that later using Migration Assistant.
